LIGHTS
I am the light of love
I light the pathway to hope.
I am the light of hope
I shine through despair and
lead to peace.
I am the light of peace
I break down the barriers of hate
and reveal joy.
I chase away sadness and doubt
and lead to faith.
I am the light of faith
I help people trust in God.
Are you one of God’s lights?

Calling all coaches!!!!!!!!!!! There will be an information meeting in the Day Care Room next Wednesday morning, September 24, at 7:45 a.m. with Coach Elbers and myself. If you think you might be able to volunteer anytime this year for our after-school sports program, please plan to attend.
Thank you to Mrs. Denny for facilitating a uniform survey. This survey taken on line will enable me to see what interest families have in changing uniform policy or adding additional items. This survey will be available until midnight Wednesday, September 24th. Your input is important so please take a moment and go on line and fill out the survey: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=p2Gh_2fLibDLbNQ6HFeIpZOQ_3d_3d
The Magazine/Cookie Dough Fund Raiser ENDS THIS MONDAY, September 22nd. Please remember to support the Magazine/Cookie Dough Drive. This is an easy way to renew your favorite magazines or sign up for a new one! They make for great birthday or Christmas presents, and it’s actually less expensive to purchase a subscription than to pick one up at the check stand! Ask family, friends, your doctor, dentist or even your salon to renew their subscriptions with you! Need a quick dessert when people come over…just pop this delicious cookie dough in the oven for 20 minutes! SJA makes 45 cents for every dollar raised so if you sell $100 the school makes $45.00. Cookie Dough pick up date is Thursday, October 23rd. Please note that we have nowhere to keep frozen cookie dough so you must plan to be available to pick up your cookie dough that day or make arrangements for someone else to do so for you. Checks are to be written to the Saint James Academy Foundation. If you have any questions, please contact Carrie Bear anytime at (858)829-6872.

This Wednesday envelope is part of a system that has been set up to ensure that families receive all school communication. It is sent home with the oldest sibling in the family. For continued accurate and consistent communication it must remain this way. If your oldest has difficulty remembering to give this envelope to you, then please remember to ask them for it. You also may access this newsletter and download most forms in this envelope at our website http://www.saintjamesacademy.com

“Yes, God so loved the world that he gave his only Son that whoever believes in him may not be lost, but may have eternal life. God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world; instead, through him the world is to be saved.”
